Scale Small AI ("we", "us", "our") operates a social media management platform that publishes content to Facebook Pages and Instagram Business accounts on behalf of our business clients.
1. Information We Collect
When you connect your Facebook account through our application, we access:
Facebook Page Information: Page name, Page ID, category, follower count, and profile picture (via pages_show_list and pages_read_engagement permissions).
Instagram Business Account Information: Username, account ID, follower count, and media count (via instagram_basic permission).
Page Engagement Data: Post likes, comments, and share counts for posts published through our service (via pages_read_engagement permission).
We do not collect private messages, friend lists, personal profile data, or any information beyond what is required for social media posting and engagement monitoring.
2. How We Use Your Information
Publishing Content: We use pages_manage_posts and instagram_content_publish to publish photo posts with captions to your Facebook Page and Instagram Business account.
Displaying Account Info: We show your connected Page name, Instagram username, and engagement statistics in your dashboard.
Token Management: We store OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens securely in our database to maintain your connection.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in a secure Supabase PostgreSQL database with Row Level Security (RLS) policies. Access tokens are encrypted at rest. We use HTTPS for all data transmission. Our servers are hosted in the United States.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties. Your Facebook and Instagram data is used solely for the posting and engagement monitoring services described above.
5. Data Retention
We retain your connection data (access tokens, Page ID, Instagram account ID) for as long as your account is active with us. Engagement statistics are refreshed on each dashboard visit and not stored historically.

Access: Contact us to request a copy of the data we hold about your account.
7. Facebook Platform Data
Our use of information received from Facebook APIs adheres to the Facebook Platform Terms and Developer Policies. We only request the minimum permissions necessary for our service to function.
Scale Small AI respects your right to control your data. You can request deletion of all Facebook and Instagram data we hold at any time.
How to Delete Your Data
Option 1: Remove via Facebook
Go to your Facebook Business Integrations settings, find "Scale Small AI", and click "Remove". This will automatically trigger our deauthorization callback, which clears your tokens and account data from our systems.
Option 2: Contact us directly
Email contact@scalesmall.ai with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include your business name. We will delete all associated data within 7 business days and send you a confirmation.

Instagram Business Account ID and metadata
OAuth refresh tokens
Any cached engagement data
What We Cannot Delete
Posts already published to your Facebook Page or Instagram account (these belong to your Page/account and can be deleted directly on those platforms).
Anonymized, aggregated analytics that cannot be tied back to your account.
Automatic Deletion
When you remove Scale Small AI from your Facebook Business Integrations, Meta sends a deauthorization callback to our servers. Upon receiving this callback, we automatically clear all associated tokens and account data. A confirmation code is generated for your records.
Deletion Status
If you have a confirmation code from a previous deletion request, you can check its status at our deletion status endpoint.
